Topeka’s Ronald McDonald House is currently recruiting for one or two part-time Relief Managers for two open shifts:
- Thursdays from 5:00 – 9:00 pm
- Sundays from 3:30 – 9:00 pm
The Relief Manager positions work as part of a House Management Team to ensure the consistent smooth delivery of guest services, effective house maintenance and support, and the safe and efficient operation of the facility, which is open 24/7/365. Responsibilities
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Answer phone & greet visitors.
- Provide guest services & customer relations.
- Check in / check out guest families as needed.
- Complete administrative functions including typing, filing, copying, etc.
Knowledge and Skills
- Have experience in housekeeping
- Possess strong attention-to-detail, computer, and organizational skills
- Function well in a team environment, consistently demonstrating respect for other staff, volunteers, and guest families
- Be committed to communicating regularly and openly with supervisor and all members of the RMHC Management Team
- Be adept at providing an environment of warmth and support for guest families
- Be willing to follow required infection control protocols (including mandatory annual influenza vaccination)
- Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Be a high school graduate or possess a GED
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be able to pass a KBI background check
