Topeka’s Ronald McDonald House is currently recruiting for one or two part-time Relief Managers for two open shifts:

  • Thursdays from 5:00 – 9:00 pm
  • Sundays from 3:30 – 9:00 pm

The Relief Manager positions work as part of a House Management Team to ensure the consistent smooth delivery of guest services, effective house maintenance and support, and the safe and efficient operation of the facility, which is open 24/7/365. If you are interested please send in your resume to mindee@rmhcneks.org. Responsibilities

  • Perform housekeeping duties.
  • Answer phone & greet visitors.
  • Provide guest services & customer relations.
  • Check in / check out guest families as needed.
  • Complete administrative functions including typing, filing, copying, etc.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Have experience in housekeeping
  • Possess strong attention-to-detail, computer, and organizational skills
  • Function well in a team environment, consistently demonstrating respect for other staff, volunteers, and guest families
  • Be committed to communicating regularly and openly with supervisor and all members of the RMHC Management Team
  • Be adept at providing an environment of warmth and support for guest families
  • Be willing to follow required infection control protocols (including mandatory annual influenza vaccination)
  • Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Be a high school graduate or possess a GED
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be able to pass a KBI background check
